I've been featured in a picture on the front page of the Ann Arbor paper: The Michigan Daily. My friend Spencer was giving me a pet. The caption was all wrong but you could see I work for Paws With A Cause. My first time in print. Hope it won't be my last.
My grandparents & Owen live way Up North. We went up to visit. I rode the golf carts. The Ski lifts were ready but I'm too small to ride. (and there is no snow yet)
I found a nice comfortable spot near the fireplace.
No picture because I'm too quick. Today I carried Aussie's muffin tin to my Mom to tell her I was hungry. I still eat slow like a golden but when I'm finished with my food I go and snack out of Aussie's bowl. She's such a nice sister she just moves out of the way and lets me. I guess I've got a few manners to learn.
Yesterday Mom started my training as a spokesdog for Paws With A Cause. The University of Michigan invited me & my friends to talk to them about dogs with jobs. My Uncle Owen came along because he's an expert. He's been working for 4 years and is able to show people what tasks he can do.
A few of my friends were:Yvonne, Erica & Cooley,
Jane & Ukon, Jennifer & Flurry,
Gail & Miro, Mandy & Mousse. I met a new friend named Keebler.
Lots of people got to pet us and and ask questions. I don't think my feet hit the ground the whole time. I was very sleepy after all that snuggling.
My big sister came home today. She didn't like being at school and could not focus on her job. She didn't pass her entrance exam so she got to come home. I really like her. We ran & played.I got a new toy to play with. It makes noise like tissue paper & it squeaks too.
I had a big first day at home. Yesterday I left my Mom and went for a long car ride to a new place. They were having puppy school and I met lots of new friends. This morning I met my new Mommy, Grandma and my cousin Owen. He wasn't sure about me. I'm getting settled in and learning the rules. I think I'm going to like this place.
I am a female golden retreiver and I work for PAWS With A Cause. I was one of 5 pups born August 23rd, 2008 to Tootsie & Brach. When I grow up I'll help someone that is deaf, has seizures or a phyical disability. Right now I'm learning the basics. Follow me in my journey to be a working dog and change someone's life.I have 1 sister and 3 brothers. Trace lives in FL, Tate in SW MI and Tux in Indiana.
On April 8th I was released from the program for some dog aggression issues. I'm a sweet girl with a little attitude. Now I'm a keeper dog & a pet. I think I'm going to like it.
