Rock fetish

Ever since I went to Arizona I appreciate rocks a little more. There were so many to choose from in Sedona. I have developed a little love for a certain rock I found in my back yard. I carry it around and groom it. It doesn't seem special to Mom but I like it. We just have 2 rules. I can't chew or swallow it and it has to stay outside. I can live with that.

Attitude adjustment

We went back to the coney island for a get together. I was not being a good girl and grumbled a little at my friends. Mom was not happy with my bad behavior so I wasn't allowed to play anymore. I love my friends. I don't know what came over me. Hopefully I can get a new attitude real soon.
Cooley & Lightning are doing great. I need to be more like them. I guess that's why I'm a work in progress. Back to training I go. Wish me luck!

Last day on vacation

We got to go back to Grandma's house in Arizona before we left. I liked it. Then we went back to the airport. Phoenix has a great dog park while you wait for your plane. I got to do my business and sniff out the latest news. There was GREEN GRASS! Just when I learned to go on the rocks.
I need a rest from my vacation!

Swimming in Oak Creek Canyon

I found out I don't like to swim. Owen loves it. He would retrieve the stick all day long if you let him. I didn't like to get my belly or face wet. I think Owen should swim out and bring the stick to me so I don't get dirty and cold. I tried to get that stick but it was too far away.Mom, Grandma, Aunt Judy & Ann had fun too.

More sights to see

So everywhere you turn here is beautiful. I saw some new kinds of plants here.
Mom made me pose over and over and over again!
They have funny colored Jeeps that will take you down into the desert. It's a real bumpy ride. I'm glad my Jeep at home doesn't drive like that. You've got to remember to drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

Sedona bound

After a few days we went to Sedona. All the rocks are red there. We had a fancy place to stay with a big bathtub a shower missing one wallYou could even peek to the bedroom from the tub. I had to learn to "BREAK" on the rocks. No grass in the desert. We hiked and shopped a lot. I got very tired.
They have real cowboys here. They even have guns & sharp things on their boots

My first plane ride

I got to go to a place called the airport and ride on the plane. We had to get some photos of me at the airport first.Unfortunately this photo shoot (3 pictures) got Mom in trouble and a policeman gave her a ticket because someone complained and said I was doing tricks & drawing a crowd. He called it impeding traffic in the airport. Mom thought that was crazy! You can't fight the law so we're going to court to fight that ticket. More to come on that. P.S.-- the policeman said he was doing her a favor because he could have arrested & finger printed her for such an offense.
After our exciting start we had some fun

I was a perfect girl on the plane. People commented that I was better behaved than the children on the flight.
When we arrived in Phoenix my Grandma, Grandpa & Aunt Judy were there to greet us.

Owen was there too. We had fun playing in the hotel room in Scottsdale.

leaving on a jet plane

Mom says were going somewhere called Arizona. All I know is that my toys & a bag of food is in this funny smelling box. I'm not letting her leave with out me.
I've been practicing being close to umbrellas. They make me nervous. I'm fine when they are on the floor, but when they open -POP-I get a little scared. When they open I get puperoni. That's a nice thing but I still don't like them.

Live Long & Prosper

Mom took me to the Science center today. There was a big crowd and I was a little nervous at first. I got some cookies for doing a good job. I wasn't so scared after a few minutes. There were some people there with funny outfits. They said they were from Star Fleet academy.
Most of us had just normal clothes.
I got to sit in the boss's chair. Mom said it was okay just for a picture.
I saw a long hallway that looked like we were on a space ship. Just like in the movies. We got something called "BEAMED UP" I just stood there- nothing happened.
There were lots of nice kids. I did my best to ignore them until Mom said it was okay. Then I sat and gave them my paw of friendship. They were all very impressed. I don't see what the big deal is. I'm 6 months old, not a baby. All this excitement wore me out. I had a good sleep on the ride home.
