Movie Night

This weekend we got to go to a movie. I met lots of new friends. I got to tell them all about my training and how they could get a puppy just like me for their houses. Many gave money and put a Paw on our tree. The tree was full and it was only the first day.Then we watched the movie. I was more impressed with the wonderful treats left behind by others. Who knew under could be so delightful? Mom spoiled all the fun and would not let me eat anything but cheerios or kibble. Sheesh-- a girl can't have any fun!
The movie did make me miss my sister. I gave her a big smooch when we came home. Mom said I was not allowed to do anything I saw in that movie. It was just pretend.

Finally snow!

I kept waiting for the stuff called snow. It finally arrived and I'm having lots of fun.This is me getting a little cold. Its also a good example of my funny looking tail. It's kind of long, doesn't have much hair and I always hold it just like this. half way up and a little bent

We had early Christmas so my Grandparents can be on their way to Arizona for the winter. Aunt Liz appreciated my help with her gift.I got a new nylabone. very tasty!

new baby

I got to go to the hospital today to welcome a new friend. Her name is Ainsley Bryn and she is about 18 hours old. I gave her teeny toes a lick to make sure she was okay. I was excellent in the room and had a small nap while mom snuggled with her. I'm just happy she's not coming home with us. I'm the baby in this house

A new mall

Mom took me to a new mall to do some training. I met my buddies,

had a class, and met Santa

There were real ducks & fish in the pond. I never saw real ones before!

Party Season

Whew! I'm tired after a full weekend of training. Saturday I braved the winter weather to class at the mall. I like to shop. There were all yellow dogs today.
Then we took a long car ride with Miss Jane & Ukon to Bay City, MI. It was a puppy party! Many of my friends were there. There was a lot of catching up to do. Some of my friends have new jobs but are still part of my PAWS family. Aussie is a camera hog and tried to be in all the pictures. I was too busy snuggling to worry about photos.

Sunday I went to see the Nutcracker Ballet in Brighton. I slept through most of it. That music relaxes me. All the dancers and families wanted to pet me. I told them all about the job I am training for.I also went to my favorite bakery. I had my photo with the Grinch. He smelled like jump & sit bits. Yummy!

Disability presentation

Yesterday I went to a school and gave a presentation for several classes of 2nd graders. I was on my best behavior and turned on the charm for the group. My buddy Lightning came along too. She is such a beauty and so refined. I'm still a little goofy but I've got a lot of spirit. Lightning was a little afraid of the mascot. I figured with a hat like that he must be a friendly kind of guy. Once I said hello to him Lightning decided he wasn't half bad.
Mom says we've got a busy weekend so stay tuned for more of my adventures.

Thanksgiving adventures

3 months this week. I'm getting bigger every day. I still have my fluff but I'm kind of long & clumsy right now. My Grandparents & Owen came in to visit. Sadly Grandma had to visit that place called the hospital again. I visited her and made all the nurses say AWWW. Aussie got to go too cuz she's a therapy dog. We had to take turns going. Mom couldn't handle both of us together. The first time I met Grandma was the day I came home. She was in the emergency room that day too. I hope she doesn't make a habit of this. I guess that's why Owen has a job. I practiced my under when they had a big dinner. Owen thinks I'm a pest and ignores me.

We did make a labby sandwich for a minute for some cookies. I can't stand to stay still for too long. Ive got playing to do.

G-L-F-O-T

Mom went to see the eye doctor this week. I sure am getting practice at all these places. I was a very good girl and slept under the chair while Mom sat in a dark room and named off all these letters. It didn't make much sense to me but the doctor seemed pleased. When we were done I got to pose for a picture. Mom made it very clear we don't get up on furniture, but this one time was special just for a photo.

Doctors appointments

I've had a lot of practice at doctors offices this week. Tues I went with Miss Jane to get her hearing checked. The lady was putting squeaky things in Miss Jane's ears. I thought that was very interesting. She also let me sniff them but I could not taste them. They made funny noises.

Today I went with Mom to the dentist. I was a great girl and took a snooze while I waited. Then I showed my teeth to the lady there. She reminded Mom to brush them so they stay sparkly white.

Mom tried to make me pose in Tank's bowl. I didn't want to cooperate. As soon as I got out of the bowl. Aussie snatched it up and carried it all over the house. She thinks Tupperware is a fun toy.

Playing nice

This week I did my first disability awareness presentation for 60 first graders. They were a little wiggly just like me! I sat, came when mom called my name and gave some good eye contact. My down is a little inconsistant yet. I was a very good girl in the school and everyone made a fuss over me.

I've also been practicing playing nice with my sister. She is very sweet with me but I like to bite her feet & skin on her neck. This learning manners thing is hard.

My visit to the vet

Today I got to meet my new doctor. He is very nice and I got some treats for being good. He said I am very beautiful and check out okay. I swallowed some yummy medicine for my tummy and got a shot. It didn't even hurt!

Then I went to the hospital to see the nurses. I wore my cute cheerleader outfit and got squeals from everyone as I walked by.

Happy Halloween

Aussie warned me about this costume thing. I didn't believe it could be so bad. She was right.

I got lots of cookies after my photo shoot. I guess it was worth it.

My Face in Print

I've been featured in a picture on the front page of the Ann Arbor paper: The Michigan Daily. My friend Spencer was giving me a pet. The caption was all wrong but you could see I work for Paws With A Cause. My first time in print. Hope it won't be my last.

Dogs on the Diag

We went to University of Michigan today to teach the kids about service dogs. I did my best to look cute. Here we are doing our thing.
